About

I received my first Camera for Christmas (A Polaroid) back in 1973 and I've been interested in photography ever since, most of the time obviously using film SLR's of different varieties before moving on to more recent Digital SLR's.

Most of my earlier years were spent just photographing the family, I had a little lighting set up that I used with a couple of backdrops. I was asked to photograph a friends Wedding, which was daunting but the images turned out fine so I went on to do this on a few occasions but my heart wasn't in it, I wasn't enjoying the pressure cooker atmosphere.

Photography for me is a relaxing pastime, I don't do it to earn extra money or to get published, I do it because I love photography. I enjoy the early rise, being in remote places watching the sun coming up / going down, waiting for the right light and hopefully capture the atmosphere of the place and being able to bring these images home with me, no pressure / deadlines, just stress free photography.

I live in the Central Belt of Scotland which is a good base for places such as the Trossachs, Glencoe, as well as Perthshire,
The East Neuk Of Fife and the Border Country, I'm also only a few hours drive to places such as Northumberland and the Lake District.

This website is a snapshot of just some of the places and events I have been fortunate enough to visit over the past 12 years.

I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I have enjoyed capturing them, I appreciate you taking the time to view my website, please visit again soon, I will be updating the site regularly with new material.

Thanks very much for visiting.
